Guangdong Peizheng College(GPZC, former Private Peizheng Commercial College)is a nonprofit private full-time college that offers four-year degree programs and concurrently three-year diploma programs. Degrees and diplomas granted are accredited by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the Chinese government.
In 1993, the college was founded.
In 1996, the college was officially sanctioned by the Guangdong Province Government.
In March 1998, the college was registered in MOE.
In March 2005, the college was upgraded to degree-granting college by MOE.
In 2009, the college was conferred the License of the People's Republic of China for Running a Private School. GPZC became the first private college to gain such license in Guangdong province.

Abiding by The Law for Facilitating Non-government Funded Education, and following the nature law of higher education, GPZC set its education principles as: Public Interest (benefit) and nonprofit principle, Standard Education principle, Credibility and Integrity principle, Offering Students Education with Characteristics principle, Guarantee High Quality principle. GPZC is exploring a new model in undergraduate education in a non-government funded area, trying to build the college into an applied undergraduate college with strong influence inside and outside Guangdong province.

GPZC is trying to pass the quality evaluation by MOE by its 20th anniversary, in 2013; By 2015, GPZCs teaching quality will be further improved and lay solid foundation for master education, building GPZC into a high-level private college.
The college is located by Jiyi Reservoir in Chini town of Huadu District of Guangzhou city, Guangdong province. The campus covers an area of more than 165 acres surrounded by green hills and clear waters. After 19 years' construction, the total assets of the college are more than RMB 800 million Yuan. The college has various specialized laboratories with advanced equipments. There are 1.49 million volumes of hard copy books, 540 thousand e-books and 1,170 kinds of periodicals.
The college is abundant in teaching faculty resources and has a stable teaching team which consists of full time and part-time teachers who have professional titles for higher education. There are 621 teaching faculty, among which 33 of them are full professors, 64 of them are associate professors, and 382 have master's degrees. There are 60 foreign teachers in GPZC. The number of foreign English teachers ranks first place in Guangdong province higher education institutions
The college consists of 14 departments (or centers) and owns 19 bachelor's degree programs (there are directions in these programs) and 22 diploma programs; the disciplines covers six categories of the subjects: management, economics, law, science and engineering.
There is 13,674 students as of the autumn of 2012. With its educational reforms being deepened and quality of education being enhanced, GPZC graduates are greatly welcome by the society. Its employment rates from 2006 to 2011 respectively are 96.48%, 97.54%, 97.91%, 98.05%, 98.90% and 98.98%, which were ahead of all other colleges of the same kind in Guangdong province. The college successfully passed Evaluation for the right to grant Bachelor's Degrees in 2009. Starting from 2011 GPZC is approved to accept top-up students who have finished their diploma in junior colleges.
The college is now trying to initiate joint programs with foreign universities. GPZC welcomes foreign universities to discuss possible cooperative programs to train internationally accepted personnel.
